BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) & ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

The American heart association’s Basic life support (BLS) Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches both single- rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings.

 

 

BLS COURSE CONTENT

  • When to start and how to do high-quality CPR on all ages (infant to adult)
  • When/Why/How to use an AED (Automated external defibrillator)
  • How to give breaths with different airway devices
  • How to work as a team to save a
  • How to save a choking victim

 

BLS COURSE FEATURES

  • Material provided: BLS Provider Manual with a BLS Reference Card (Electronic version)
  • Course format: Read the eBooks before the On course day, you’ll have hands-on clinical scenarios for skills practice and skills testing.
  • Certificate: Score 84% in theory (21/25) and demonstrate efficiency in the skills you learnt on course day to receive your American Heart Association BLS course completion e card, valid for 2 years.

 

 

2.  Course and Student number/Course duration and timings

AHA certified BLS 1-day and ACLS 2-days course and course timings will be from 9 am to 5 pm.

 

3.  Course materials (eBooks)

After we fix the schedule, we will give the details of the eBook activation instructions by mail. Candidates must read and understand the contents of the course well in advance.

 

 

4.  Other requirements of the course

I would like to apprise you about some of the facilities required for the smooth functioning of the course. It would be of great help if you could arrange the following:

  1. Preferably a well-ventilated room, seating capacity according to the number of candidates, with movable tables and chairs, bed sheets, and pillow provision for practical demonstration stations on the floor.

 

  1. An LCD projector, whiteboard, and all necessary support supplies like Audio system, Cordless Microphone, etc.

 

  1. We request you to provide accommodation and food arrangements for AHA instructors and the coordinator deputed for the course. However, we will take care of their travel

 

  1. Course E-Certificates will be sent to you after completion of the course and course

ACLS COURSE DETAILS

Upon finishing BLS, you can opt for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The hands-on instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.

 

ACLS COURSE CONTENT

 

  • Science of Resuscitation
  • Systematic Approach
  • Airway Management
  • Recognition, management of ACS and
  • Recognition and management of brady and
  • Recognition and management of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, immediate post– cardiac arrest care.
  • Impact of team dynamics and Feedback to team
  • Role of a rapid response team or medical emergency

 

ACLS COURSE FEATURES

  • Material provided: ACLS Provider Manual with an ACLS Reference Card (electronic versions)
  • Course format: Read the eBooks before On course day, you’ll have hands-on clinical scenarios for skills practice and skills testing.
  • Course completion: Score 84% in theory (42/50) and demonstrate efficiency in the skills you learnt on course day to receive your American Heart Association ACLS course completion E Card, valid for 2 years. Testing occurs on day 2 of ACLS course.
